Target: Louis van Gaal is keen on signing Nicolas Otamendi
Here are all the latest Red Devils stories from today's Daily Mirror...

Evans closing in on £7m Toffees switch

Jonny Evans is moving closer to a £7million move from Manchester United to Everton.
United and Everton are said to be close to finalising a deal that will see the defender move to Goodison Park.
As revealed by MirrorSport on May 19, Everton boss Roberto Martinez targeted Evans to bolster his defence.

United want £10m for Evans, but with only a year left on his contract, they are likely to have to reach a compromise on that figure.
Evans, 27, endured a tough time under Louis van Gaal last season, with injuries and a six-match ban for spitting blighting his campaign.

Schweinsteiger: I want titles at United

Bastian Schweinsteiger insists he's as hungry as ever to win silverware after moving to Manchester United.
The 30-year-old completed a move to Old Trafford on Monday, signing a three-year contract on the same day the Red Devils completed their capture of Morgan Schneiderlin.
Despite winning practically all there is to win during his lengthy spell at Bayern, Schweinsteiger is adamant that he wants to continue to win trophies at Old Trafford.

"I am very happy to be here and to play for Man United," said Schweinsteiger.
"It is a big honour. It's a new step in my life. I want to win titles, it's easy. Manchester United is used to that and I am too, so that's my goal."

Rooney to consider MLS switch

Wayne Rooney is considering a move to the MLS when he finishes his career with Manchester United.
United and England skipper Rooney admitted he could follow Premier League legends Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard in moving to the US to bring the curtain down on his career.

Rooney, in the US on United's pre-season tour, said of a potential move to the MLS: "I'm obviously concentrating on Manchester United.
"When that time comes, that'll be something I'd think about. I'll sit down with my wife and children and decide if it would be right for me."

Valdes on Valencia radar

Valencia are reportedly ready to move for out-of-favour Victor Valdes.
The Manchester United stopper has been told he can leave Old Trafford after allegedly refusing to play for the club's Under-21 side last season.
Louis van Gaal stated on Wednesday that Valdes doesn't follow his "philosophy" -although the stopper has hit back against his boss on Twitter.
Valdes remains in England after being left out of United's pre-season tour and now looks certain to leave before the end of the transfer window
And according to Marca, Valencia are keen to take the ex-Barcelona stopper back to his homeland.
