A LIB reader asks a medical question
From a LIB reader
I did a biopsy on venous malformation, and my result indicates that if I'm going to remove the whole malformation through surgery there is every tendency that the malformation will be back. Besides the scar on the biopsy, I did was really bad. I cant imagine how the scar will look if carried out on the main region. So I read about veineous malformation treatment and I found that Multiple sclerotherapeutic sessions, Venous embolization, Endovenous laser therapy can shrink up the swollen vien without surgery being carried out. According to general hospital they said I can only get treatment outside the country and since I have no money going abroad for this treatment, I want to know if there are any private hospitals that are specialized in using this treatment in Nigeria. Can I please have answers?

Americans will not let us hear word about Cecil the Lion that was killed recently in Zimbabwe by an American dentist The protests and noise about it is alarming to say the least. A Zimbabwean writer shared his opinion on the issue in an article with NY Times & I just had to share it! Quite interesting.
So sorry about Cecil. Did Cecil live near your place in Zimbabwe? Cecil who? I wondered. When I turned on the news and discovered that the messages were about a lion killed by an American dentist, the village boy inside me instinctively cheered: One lion fewer to menace families like mine.

Aminu Gamawa asks. Recently Nigeria, Chad and Cameroon have suffered repeated suicide attacks by women, girls and even men disguised as females. Last month, Chad banned the full-face veil after series of Boko Haram suicide bombing carried out by attackers disguised as women wearing veils. Cameroon followed suit by also banning burkas and face-covering veils in the aftermath of suicide bombings by females in burkas and veils, that killed many people in the Northern part of the country. Is banning the full-face veil a good counter-terrorism measure? Should Nigeria do same? What do you guys think?
